Reasonable Compensation: Finding the Line Between Justified and Excessive
Session Description:
Reasonable compensation continues to be a hot-button issue for A/E firms, especially as scrutiny around executive pay and labor categories increases. This session will dive into the expectations outlined in the AASHTO Audit Guide and how firms can support compensation levels through benchmarking, documentation, and defensible policies.
We’ll also explore the gray areas where interpretations vary by auditor or state. With so much at stake, this is a timely discussion for firms looking to stay compliant while attracting and retaining top talent. Bring your real-world challenges and join your peers for an open, practical exchange of ideas.
