The Future Leaders Program provides a robust curriculum designed to develop essential leadership skills that extend beyond traditional engineering. Participants will learn from top industry professionals on critical topics such as Accounting & Profitability, Building Effective Working Relationships, Business Development, Effective Marketing, Human Resources, Inclusion & Diversity, Leadership Skills, Networking, Risk Management, Presentation Skills, and Understanding Industry-Related Public Policy Issues. This comprehensive approach ensures that graduates are skilled engineers and competent business leaders.
Joining the Future Leaders Program means embarking on a journey of significant professional and personal growth. The program’s structure includes eight two-hour sessions followed by networking receptions or social events, allows participants to gain practical knowledge, earn up to 16.5 PDHs, and build a strong professional network. Graduates will be recognized at a formal Graduation Ceremony, celebrating their achievements and the skills acquired to drive their careers and firms forward.

What is the Future Leaders Program (FLP)?
ACEC Georgia's Future Leaders Program partners with top industry professionals to train up-and-coming leaders on managerial skills that extend well beyond the engineering profession. Attendees learn from an array of professionals on topics such as:

ACEC Georgia's Future Leaders Program not only develops talent within your organization but elevates your firm as an industry leader.
Registration:
Do you have an employee who is ripe for leadership growth? If so, register him/her in the Future Leaders Program. Applicants must be employed by an ACEC Georgia member firm. This year's class will be limited to 60 people; this program has sold out for the past nine years, so register early. Firms can register up to 4 employees; any additional will be put on a waiting list for the 2025-2026 program. The deadline to register your employee(s) is Friday, August 9, 2024.
Commitment:
The 2024-2025 Future Leaders Program runs from September 2024 - May 2025. All attendees must commit to attending eight two-hour sessions followed by a 1-hour networking reception or social event. Future Leaders Program graduates will be recognized by their nominating principal and the ACEC Georgia Board of Directors during a final Graduation Ceremony in May 2025. Throughout the program, attendees will be given the opportunity to earn two PDHs per meeting for a total of 16.5 PDHs. Attendance is mandatory for all sessions (one excused absence approved by Principal is allowed).

Investment:
The Future Leaders Program is a powerful investment in Georgia's next generation of engineering professionals and distinguishes your firm as an industry leader. The cost of participation is $850 for the first attendee and $800 for all subsequent attendee(s) from the same firm for ACEC Georgia Members. This investment covers the program's administrative costs, food and beverages at every session, and the graduation and reception.

Most sessions will take place from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month (there are a few exceptions).
Each Session will be a 2-hour learning session, followed by 1-hour of networking.
